The Data Point

In our Client Zero workspace, PromptKing ingested 12 AI sessions from the Slack connector across a 5-channel workspace. Every single session was autonomous — triggered by environmental or behavioral conditions, not by a human pressing send.

Why It Matters

Most enterprise AI governance frameworks assume human-initiated activity: a user sends a prompt, a model responds, a log is created. Ambient agentic activity does not work this way. Agents execute without a human pressing send. Existing governance tooling misses this activity entirely because it has no trigger to log.

The Governance Gap

Article 14 of the EU AI Act requires meaningful human oversight of high-risk AI systems. Ambient agent activity — where no human pressed send — represents a governance category that prompt-based logging cannot cover. Enforcement date: August 2, 2026.

The Question This Answers

"If an agent runs at 3am with no human trigger, does your governance layer see it?" Yes. Because of the ambient tagger.
